The Doctor glanced about as he spoke, but returned his attention to Gabriel fairly quickly, brows furrowed with a bit of a squint. "You sound as though you've seen it first-hand," he commented, matter-of-factly. Did it really bother this man that the land was so devastated? That seemed... surprising, from one such as this, but everyone had their surprises, and the Doctor had to admit he barely knew Gabriel.

The joke at least got a soft chuckle out of the Doctor. "Yes, the heat may become an issue." And the sun. At least they'd included some sunblock, hah.
