Elena could tell that the other girl had come to the same thought as she did, and was about to act on it. Her brows furrowed when a whisper of a noise came to her ears. Steadying her breath, Elena closed her eyes and focused her hearing. It made her feel like a newly-turned vampire again, trying to hone her new senses, but it seemed like only intense concentration worked.
