Liam yelped and pulled his leg away, simultaneously reaching out to balance himself on the table. "Yes, but that would have required me to—"
Then he cut off, brow furrowing momentarily. It had been four days—ninety-six whole hours—that he'd been part of the living world again. Almost all of that had been purely in the presence of Ken, someone who always saw him regardless of current states of being. The idea that everyone else had the same privilege whether or not Liam wanted them to wasn't something he had really given much thought yet. It was... worrying. Like he had been caught out without his clothes and no one would be kind enough to return them.
Sticking his tongue in his cheek (and reminding himself once again to keep with the steady and even breaths), Liam turned to Sable with a half-smile. "Sorry 'bout that. We're just about as new to this as I imagine you are. Find anything interesting yet?"
