"Pasts are interesting things," Aziraphale said neutrally. He had mixed feelings about his, for lack of a better word, life. There'd been a lot of missed opportunities, some time wasted, but also a good deal of certainty that he had to admit he sometimes missed nowadays. Of course, he was also certain of new things now. Companionship, protection, "the morning sun of heaven" - on Earth, but near enough and lovely enough to be the same thing. Continued existence. Contentment.
