Aziraphale had been on his way to replenish his food supply when he realized that he hadn't seen another human being in days and days. Add to that a vague guilty concern about whether or not Re-l was back and he found himself heading to Gabriel's caravan. He'd almost made it - could, in fact, see bits of the caravan between buildings - when he noticed someone walking down the street with his hands drifting along the walls, walking as if directionless. Someone who looked sort of familiar.

Very familiar.

"Gabriel?" he said incredulously, not sure if he believed what he was seeing. This was not an archangel. Archangels were not meant to look so . . . helpless. Still, he rushed over and stopped just short of taking hold of Gabriel's elbow, hovering a few feet away.
